Thanks to their DIY efforts this band has already created a huge underground buzz and reputation for making real time music that goes the distance, with the April 2008 release of their EP “Horizons’ and non-stop touring Tonight Is Glory is now poised to bring their original brand of hardcore fury to the masses.

In just a little over a year and a handful of member changes, the melodic hardcore quintet has pushed through a vigorous amount of struggles that helped to mold their original energetic sound. Hailing from Sydney-Guns for Glory is ready to make their mark in the US, already deemed ‘one of Australia’s most promising alternative bands’. The act recently inked a North American deal with independent label Standby Records for an early second quarter release and a full US tour to follow.

Young music industry visionary Neil Sheehan has recently taken over independent label Standby Records (originally owed by Nick Moore of post hardcore act Before Their Eyes) and is gearing up to re-launch the label. Specializing in fresh, cutting-edge music and operating out of Los Angeles and Cleveland, Standby Records aspires to bring superior music to the masses having secured distribution through Victory Records/Sony/RED.

Standby Records is poised to make their mark on the modern day industry with their carefully selected roster of artists. Already slated for release this month, October 28 (iTunes only) Settle The Sky ‘Now That We're Waiting’. Look for first quarter 2009 releases from Tonight Is Glory, Count Your Blessings, Freshman 15 and Australian buzz band Guns For Glory.

At 32 Neil Sheehan is already a music industry veteran, founder of HM-Live (www.hm-live.com) an Artist Development firm, the parent company of HM Management and Concerts, formerly Hardcore Marketing, Inc., Media Science Design and Chin Music Studios all located in Cleveland, Ohio. TONIGHT IS GLORY have accepted an offer from Standby Records and signed their contract today. Singer Roman Dieguez says about Standby Records "This is what we were looking for; someone tell help us get our music out there. Standby is perfect for us."

Nick Moore, former owner of Standby Records, brought the band to the label after scouting them for months. Nick eventually helped orchestrate their signing. Standby Records owner Neil Sheehan said of the band, "TIG is a band that we are truly excited about at Standby Records, when our A&R Nick Moore played me their stuff and told me they were available we immediately started discussions. We are looking forward to having them on board." In just a little over a year and a handfull of member changes, the melodic post-hardcore quintet known as Tonight is Glory has pushed through a vigorous amount of struggles. Hailing from the vast Metal/Hardcore scene of El Paso, TX., Tonight is Glory has honed its energetic sound through non-stop touring. FRESHMAN 15 have accepted an offer from Standby Records and signed their contract today. "We're so pumped for this relationship and what the future holds" said Davey Fortner, singer/guitarist. "We love Standby's visions for us and their label; it was a perfect fit", he finished. Standby Records owner Neil Sheehan said of the band, "A band with this much talent couldn't have gone on much longer without being signed. I'm glad we made the move first."

This pop-punk group formerly called themselves Xzamen but changed their name about a year ago to shake things up a bit. Since the name change to Freshman 15 they have played extensively throughout their hometown area of Gainesville Georgia, toured through most of the southern states, and recorded their first EP "5 Ways To Get To First Base". Singer/guitarist Davey Fortner says of the band, "We just want to play as many shows as possible and get our music to as many people as possible. We live to make new friends and we wanna hang with celebrities, of course..."

The band will be re-entering the studio October 17th to finish recording their debut Standby release. They will continue their work with producer John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, Brand New) of Nada Recording Studio whom recorded their recent EP '5 Ways To Get To First Base'. Of recording with Naclerio, singer Davey Fortner had the following to say, "John is awesome. He is so easy to work with and of course he makes us sound good.", he joked. Davey finished by saying that Naclerio has "worked with so many huge bands yet he's super down to earth. We were recommended to him by our friends in Every Avenue so if it wasn't for them or Naclerio, we wouldn't be here signing our contract today."

The band had sent their EP to Standby Records based off of Naclerio's recommendation. Hundreds of demos are fielded in the Standby offices each week but Freshman 15's EP stood out immediately. "We go through so many demos and myspace pages each week it's amazing we can get anything else done", joked Standby's GM Joshua Vardous. "Luckily I had their CD in my hands that day and I immediately phoned the band directly. It took us about a month to work out a deal but I pretty much wanted to sign them the first day I heard them", he continued.

Neil Sheehan, owner and CEO of Standby Records was very impressed with the work they had done on their EP. He said, "You only need to listen to one song, once, from F15 and you get hooked and start singing the thing all day. That is what grabbed me. When I was driving home after one listen through and I was singing it, I knew we wanted the band."

No release date is set for when Standby will release FRESHMAN 15's debut album.

Cleveland, OH .. Today, Standby Records (www.standbyrecords.net) announced news of their latest signing of COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS (www.myspace.com/cyblessings):

Count Your Blessings have accepted an offer from Standby Records and signed their contract this morning. "We're definitely stoked to be a part of the Standby family" said Antonio Rucci, lead guitar player. He continued, "We have always been DYI and as always are very careful about our business moves. Right away we felt very welcome and right at home". Label owner Neil Sheehan says of the band, "After meeting the guys, I knew we wanted the band."

This five-piece pop-punk-rock act based in Waldorf, Maryland have been playing together in one form or another for the past ten years. Antonio says, "It feels like we have all been together forever. One of us has played with another in one band or another for as long as we have played music."

Since forming officially, the band has played hundreds of shows together including the Taste of Chaos tour 2008 as well as following the Warped Tour for weeks on end just to get their music heard. In fact, it was while the band was out on the road following Warped Tour that Standby had discovered them. "We met the guys from Standby while on our way back home from our trek on Warped Tour", said Antonio. "By teaming up with Standby, we're now ready to take our career to the next level", he finished.

The band will be re-entering the studio August 22nd to finish up recording their debut release. They will continue their work with producer/engineer Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, Senses Fail, Gwen Stacy) of Valencia Recording whom recorded their latest EP 'YEEAAHH RIGHT'. Of recording with Paul Leavitt, lead guitar player Antonio Rucci had the following to say, "Paul is gnarly. He brought our sound to the next level and he always has something helpful to say when we're stuck in a jam. The dude is full of ideas!".

It was their EP recorded with Leavitt that caught the ear of Standby Records owner Neil Sheehan and brought the band to receive a recording contract. Sheehan had the following to say about COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, "After one listen to CYB's EP I knew the band could write and had great songs. An artist should have a passion and a vision for their music and fans; these guys proved it to me in our meetings. CYB are a commited band, not only to their craft but honing their skills to get better and being fan friendly. That is all a label can ask of a band. That is what we want at Standby, a band that is committed to be a band for a career and having the songs to catch listeners turning them into grassroots marketing team that spreads the word of CYB. When fans hear their new songs, they are going to want to see this band live; that translates into success for the band, the label and the fans."
